Hotel Regina is een sympathiek, comfortabel hotel met betaalbare prijzen. Het hotel is onlangs verbouwd en ligt in een rustig gedeelte van de binnenstad (voetgangerszone). Het bevindt zich op een paar minuten van het treinstation, het conferentiecentrum (Palais de Beaulieu), musea, theaters, privéklinieken, het universiteitsziekenhuis (CHUV), banken, boetiekjes en warenhuizen. Er zijn vlak bij het hotel uitstekende openbaar vervoersverbindingen te vinden, zoals een metrostation en bushalte. De stadsbelasting, waarvoor extra betaald dient te worden, geeft gasten gratis toegang tot het openbaar vervoer van Lausanne. Gasten kunnen hun 'Mobilis ticket' verkrijgen bij de receptie. Het hotel is ongeschikt voor rolstoelgebruikers. De kamer heeft een aansluiting voor een pc. Alle kamers zijn rookvrij.
